Dishcloth Blitz 2004
♥ Comments (2) ♥
I’m on my round of dishcloth mania. Last year i made them for my mom and a co-worker for mother’s day, and my sister for her birthday. And now i can’t keep up with the requests for them. I just use the basic pattern for corner to corner knit dishcloths made out of walmart peachs n’ cream yarn or sugar n’ cream…so now i am in the midst of making them for my mom, my boyfriend’s mom and grandmother, a close friend of the family and for my sister’s b-day in june. i think i have now knocked out about 9 or so and i’ve only been up to this for a week and 1/2. my main problem today is jet lag. this time change business really throws one out of whack.
I hate drug companies and insurance and just about everything at the moment. I was living probably like many 20 somethings without health insurance due to working part time and going to school and for a myriad of other reasons. When i switched jobs in October of last year i am full time and offered medical benefits. It was only 30$ a week and rose to 55$ a week this past month. My deductable is 500$ and none of that is too depressing just a fact of life i guess. here’s the depressing part.
the only major thing i use any dr or prescription for is women’s health related. I am not on any medication nor do i have any ailments requiring me to see a dr on a daily basis. I only see my OB/GYN annually and get birth control every month. This is all part of women’s health right? wrong. my insurance doesn’t feel it’s necessary to cover any contraceptive or preventative medication, yet they will cover everything for pregnancy. I know this is probably common but COME ON.
i am healthy and i am paying 220$ a month for health insirance i don’t really use due to being healthy and not hitting a deductible. now here’s the fun part.
if i were to have my OB/GYN write my birth control rx here is what i would pay a month to literally SWOLLOW.
thru my insurance:
30$ a month
75$ for 3 months
300$ annually
thru planned parenthood:
14$ a month
42$ for 3 months
168$ annually
it’s good to know drug companies think everyone is made of money. And just because i CHOOSE not to have a rug-rat i literally get to swollow these costs per month. i love being a girl. yay rah.
Tomorrow is class #1 for my cardigan. i can’t wait to start to tackle this large project. Being my first sweater i am excited and scared at the same time.
i also can’t get enough of the new larger tic tacs at the moment for some unknown reason.
