Bad Ideas

Comments (11)

NEVER EVER....

Get the bright idea that you can pull out a pretty handpainted hank of merino sock yarn from your stash. AND because you don’t own a swift think you can successfully use a 3 yr old to wind the yarn. Under normal circumestances this would usually work just fine. BUT as we were winding along just fine some Republican party canadate for congress in my district HAD to RING THE DOORBELL in a HOUSE WITH TWO HOUNDS. This caused the beagle AND the bassett to RUN THRU THE YARN and for zander to drop the hank to the floor. Now i have a giant heap of spaghetti mess. And i do mean a real mess people. I’ve got about 250 yeards wound. And about another 250 yeards of spaghetti mess. Good thing i bought this EXPENSIVE sock yarn last year cause kissing that 20$ goodbye is a little easier. *sniff* *sniff*

** i’d also like to note that the Republican’s are campaigning hard in this area. All week each time i’v put zander down for his nap 20 min later some Republican party member is ringing the doorbell waking him up. And now i can properly blame that party for ruining perfectly pretty pumpkin pie colored sock yarn!

And now, when asked why you aren’t voting for the Republicans, in that “what did they ever do to you?” line of questioning, you can say, “the Republicans ruined my yarn!  Down with the yarn ruiners!”

See you next weekend.

Oh no . . . that is too unfair! And yea . . . vote Democrat. Your local Republicans (at the very least) don’t deserve it!

Is the rest truly unsalvageable? No hope at all?

My mother used to put a note on the door when she put my brother down to nap. She wasn’t taking any chances. She taped it right over the doorbell button. I would do that… HOpe you can salvage most of the yarn.

Man, I hate politicians sometimes. Last federal election up here, some Conversatives came campaigning at my door. I wouldn’t let them in though :P

oh no!!!! I’ve had my dogs decide to lavish their attention on me as soon as I start to try to wind a ball from a hank. I have a swift and winder, but somehow they still manage to make it a pile of knots. My sister, luckily LOVES sorting through it and winding it up again!

I have HAD it with the campaigning the phone calls, the wasteful paper flyers and the door knocking!!!! Seriously this week I received 2 flyers a day for the same guy!!! He’s killed one or two trees alone campaigning to me!!!

Stupid stumping Republicans....

Put on a good movie and slowly try to untangle. Call it your zen moment for the day.

I’m sorry, that’s so frustrating!
