ok--you know when your life is like a bad sitcome or an episode of 90210 that things just can’t get BETTER right? when i got back from being in chicago i tried my monitor just for the hell of it and of course it didn’t work. i thought well you know it sat for what, 5 days untouched maybe just MAYBE it’ll work for no good reason. it didn’t. i am up at 6am for work on sunday morning and i notice that the LCD light has stopped blinking and returned to the orange color it always once was. i stand there staring at my monitor thinking DO I DARE TURN THIS ON? it’s just not going to work and i’ll have to hold the pwer button down til it shuts down again like last time. i continue to stare at the LCD light. i turn the thing on and low and behold the damn thing descides to work. at this point i wanted to take the thing and drop kick it across my room. i return from work and it is STILL working. wierd. no explaination. it’s not blinking all weird (the LCD light) like it once was and so on. like i have said in the past my life is alot like a bad sitcom.

ok what’s new:

i’ve finished about 100 little picture pebble magnets for my sister’s baby shower. i am secretly making several projects, i have managed to keep on the DL with my family. my mom is driving me crazy suggesting things for me to make for the baby etc and i am always showing not too much intrest...but this has been backfireing and she is just getting mad that i am not too intrested in making anything for the baby. this is really quite the contrary...i just don’t want them to KNOW about what i am planning to make. sheeesh it’s like people don’t like surprises anymore. if i tell my mom she then tells my sister..what fun is that? so here’s the projects i am rustlin’ up for her and her shower etc.

a sock doggie for the baby (sans button eyes)
place cards sans names but stamped with a cute oh baby stamp and some other fancy things for the shower
and the biggie! drum rolls please....
a baby photo album book...this thing i bought in a kit with the boards all pre-cut and 25 pages..so all i need to do is cover them and assemble them...but not of course without adding something like a covered picture frame to adhere to the front. i bought beautiful light green & blue paper with threads in it. it’s just thick enough and the book will be bound with ribbon in the same colors. this will be so pretty i am sure of it. so sure i bought a smaller 5 x 7 book kit to make for myself...altho i think it will just go to my mother the proud gramma and grandpa of sorts. myself always comes last in crafting.

i have stopped my wonderful start in the world of knitting. i need to get on this and continue to get better because i’d LOVE to make a cute baby sweater by the end of the year. i bought one of those better homes and gardens special edition magazines they seem to only come out once a year. i buy the paper arts one every year now. anyways i bought the knitting one and i saw a baby sweater that is ADORABLE . and lucky for me it is listed as a beginner pattern! i tell nathaniel he’ll get a scarf, mittens and hat just in time for AUGUST! woo woo!
i think i will go craft now actually, xoxo
