here’s my awesome friend kelly from the Indiana University days...or i probably SHOULD say the Answer Indiana days.
i met her at a pretty crappy job i had in college. We worked at an answering service and by chance one day while we were still new we bonded over some crazy book she was reading about ice-t (yes the rapper). Kelly is the person with whom i went grocery shopping with always so we “wouldn’t have to do it alone” power walked with, griped with, cried with, and ratedChristmas lights in the rich neighborhood with. oh yes. She is still the same Kelly i had so much fun with. It just makes me miss her more than ever.
** please note i am wearing the awsome DOG SHIRT i got in my craft swap from Daru her store can be found here i wear the darn thing so much i should probably get another one soon!
How are any of you Chicagoans surviving witht he Dan Ryan Destruction 2K6? Man i had my alternate route planned and everything. I think it’s going to be a super secret route too. But didn’t take it tonight because traffic was running free according to the news. I’ll have to report back on that later, altho i passed count them...NINE state cops with people pulled over and TWO without, just on the east side. Not counting how many lights i saw on the other side. yikes.
When i got home tonight i saw i had gotten some mail this weekend while i was gone! look at this cute return address label! (address smudged out for stalking purposes!)
it was just the cutest littlest box. and inside were some seriously awesome goodies from my fellow beagle owning blogger celadoncupcake’s carol THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS LITTLE BOX - TREATS CAROL! She was making some really cute tissue holders, when she offered me one i said my purse will thank you! So she sent not one but two cutelil holders even already packed with tissue!! She also knows i am a snoopy fiend and sent some cute charlie brown peppermints! A kinder egg which i haven’t had since i datedshawn from Canada and some super cute little stickers. Carol i really thank you for taking the time to put the little package together for me, i really love all of it.
Not much else to show. Nat didn’t want to take a picture of me doing the Rancid Peanut-butter Reenactment, nor did he want me to play any Meatloaf or Archers of Loaf while he was sculpting our meatloaf tonight. (see he really is a total partypoo-per) Altho my sister called with several people who wanted to go in on a pile of poop so i did get to place an order at ilovechickenpoop.com!!
On the knitting front i am STILL plugging away slowly (very very slowly) on the shawl. I haven’t felt like knitting for the past week, so i didn’t work on it much. I am noticing tho that it is now April. And that means i have to gear up forjen’s mother’s day DISHCLOTH BLITZ. Every year i give my mom, Nat’s mom and Nat’s 90+ yr old grandmother knit washcloths, so they can throw out the icky ones from the year before. I usually try to make about 5 each. And because i am so slow it takes me usually a whole month.heh . hence the blitz. This year i am thinking about mixing it up a little by adding a flower cloth for the bath and maybe only 2 or 3 dish cloths for the kitchen.hmmmm . I also got an order from knit picks of their super cheapDK weight Merino to make an ARMY of Japanese Kitties. Oh yes. I tired that last year with Lion brand’s Microspun which was driving me crazy with all it’s splitting...and then my inability to sew the darn parts together. I am going to give it another go. this time with better yarn and some more tenacity. I also want to get my butt moving on some socks. I only made one pair last year and i want to make more this year. *sigh*

Yay, I’m glad you received them! It’s still raining in San Francisco...I hope spring has sprung where you are. (Arrow does NOT like the rain.)
