Self Portrait Tuesday

Comments (8)

December’s theme: To take an image of yourself in a reflective surface

I love this idea because i’ve done it all my life. In my photoclass i once presented a picture of a harley davidson as one of my self portrait’s and it took the prof about 20 min to figure out you could see myself in all the chrome. the reason i took it. this thing had A LOT of chrome, and it was pretty looking too. Anyways i leave you with my first installment of December’s Self Portrait Tuesday….

in the Chicago Daley Plaza Tree

mmmmmm tea

wash yer hands!

i spent the entire day sewing, embroidering, cutting, pieceing, and ironing. Wendy cranked out some amazing project bags all NINE of them. Go to the shop and check them out. We’ve also used scraps of stuff to make odd sized pouches.
Please take some off of us!

I did run into and old high school friend of mine at the Post Office today. I hadn’t seen her since my graduation party, back in 1991! I asked her how the hell she recognized me and she just so simply replied “you haven’t changed!” oh my.
So a big H E L L O out there to Renae, man it was good to talk to you for that 15-20 min or so. Later on that nite when i took a hot bath all these memories of high school came flooding back. I remember hanging out with her and Karly and trading Fugazi TAPES…TAPES FOLKS not cd’s. And danzig, and the misfits and ministry and the cure. oh my. It’s just really funny because it boiled down to the fact that i am still as nerdy as i was then, i guess some things don’t really change do they? And here’s something for any Northwest Indiana kids out there, i was reminiscing about local bands with Jessica last week. Such bands as I SHARKO, and Psycho reggae. Talking about seeing NAKED RAYGUN at the Scout Hut on a friday nite, and then TRENCHMOUTH, and LIFE SENTANCE. eeegads.
Now i feel old, really old.

i’m looking for harry potter book on audo, mp3. if someone has them i think you should email me and we can strike up a deal of some sort. I’ve read books 1 & 2 but want to listen to the rest while knitting. hmmmm.

I remember Tapes.  I used to have a ton of really good tapes.  Then someone took them all.  I had all of the Blake Babies on tape and I will never get them back.  Memories!!  Why is it so easy to get stuck walking down memory lane this time of year?

Store looks fabulous!  I’ll advertise it more on my blog for you once I give out all the gifts.  Most of the avid readers on my blog are getting something from you!

Hey, I’m not sure if we know one another or not, but I just needed to shout out for late 80’s NWI punk/indie rock scene you mentioned. I was at those old shows with Naked Raygun, I Sharko, Psycho Reggae (I was the drummer), etc. at the old Portage Scout Hut. Ahhh, good times.

Anyway, if you wanna chat and talk about the old scene, feel free to drop me a line. My email address is in this message’s header.

Its a little bit creepy with the reflection pictures. I just saw a movie and when the boy looked at the spoon, he saw a reflection of a ghost crawling at the ceiling.

Glad that “scene” is still remembered and thanks for mentioning my old band, I Sharko. Cheers to you.
