we went to see the ravonettes last tuesday at the doubledoorin chicago. this is the first time i have been to the double door. it’s kind of strange since i grew up here, i’ve been going to shows since the 7th grade, yet i some how have never managed to get to this venue til last week. one thing i can say is that this is one HOTT group. the two of them are HOTT. the website pictures are too goofy and art schoolishly posed, but in person the both of them are just steamy. and LOUD LOUD LOUD, i have never heard a buddy holly and the crickets cover to a wall of feed back ever before. nathaniel also informed me that Miss Mia from chicago cable acess show CHIC-A-GO-GO was standing in front of us the whole time...there is a picture of her with puppet host RATSO on that link..Nat also informed me that Ratso must be straight-edge because he has X’s on his hands...so this puppet is all X’d up, cute.

i have been battleing horrid insomnia and waking up every 2 hours or so since the new carpeting has come in and i rearranged my bedroom furniture around. the last conclusion i have come to is that my bed was always north/south as is Nathaniels and it is now east/west. this mayindeed be my problem it has only taken me 4 weeks to figure out.

i miss my friend jimmy. we are going with my mom to see finding nemo tomorrow and his mom will be cutting my hair, thank god because it’s just a shaggy mess right now. i am simply in LOVE with two cd’s i bought with nathaniel last week, i bought the new yo la tengo album summer sun and an old LUSH album called SPOOKY. i simply can’t stop listening to them. i also LOVE this album nat gave me by Astrud Gilberto called finest hour...i can’t stop knitting to it and sitting in the (cold) spring sun.
