Don’t see what you’re looking for in our shop? We’ll work with you to customize any of our bag styles in the fabrics of your choice (where available). Just follow the instructions below.
How does it work?
- Sign up. Login or register, and add your name and info to the list. Please list the fabrics you are interested in, the quantity of bags you would like, and any other details. If you are ordering a zippered pouch, please indicate the size you would like. You can check our Sold Items Gallery on Etsy for examples. Please be specific with your fabric selections. Availability may be limited, so you may want to list alternate fabric choices as well. Please note that for cost purposes, we generally don’t use our exterior fabrics as linings. If this is something that you want, please be aware that there may be a significant additional charge. We will contact you before we begin production to confirm your choices, or suggest other options if your chosen fabric is not available, and to inform you of the final price of your order, including any custom order fees or additional charges. If you are already on the list, and you want to change or add to your order, please don’t sign up again. Just add any additional items in the comment section of your existing order.
- Be patient. We’ll contact you through your order page when we’re ready to begin your order to confirm the details. Please respond to this in a timely fashion. If we can’t get in touch with you, or we don’t hear from you for more than three weeks, you will be removed from the list. If you’re not ready when we contact you, or you’re going away on vacation or something, don’t worry. Just let us know. You won’t lose your place on the list; we’ll just skip over you temporarily, and come back to you when we start the next batch of orders. If we don’t hear from you at all, we will remove you after three weeks.
- Track your order. Check your order status, communicate with us, and pay online right from your order page.
How Much Does it Cost?
The price is based on what you order, the fabrics you choose, etc. There is a custom-order fee that starts at $10, and is based on the number of bags in your order. We will contact you before we begin production on your order to confirm your order and give you a final price.
How long does it take?
That depends on the length of the list. We work as fast as we can, but we are only two people who also have day jobs and families. We work on custom orders in small batches in between our regular etsy updates, and once we begin production, it will take about two weeks to complete your order. If you sign up and feel that the wait is too long, and you want to cancel your order, just let us know and we’ll take you off of the list.
How Do I Pay?
We only accept payment through paypal. When your order is ready, we will notify you, and post pictures of your bag(s) on your order page. You can log in and use the “buy now” button on that page to pay.
Please note, if we don’t receive payment within 7 days of your order’s completion, the custom order will be cancelled. The item(s) will will then be listed as open stock in our etsy shop, and anyone will be able to purchase it.
Will my bag be one-of-a-kind?
No. Please keep in mind that your bag will not be “exclusive” or “one-of-a-kind”. The custom-order fee is to cover our additional time in working with you to choose fabrics and design your bag and, does not guarantee the exclucivity of your bag. We reserve the right to produce additional bags using the same fabric combinations in the future.
