taking care of business

first some updating. i want to remind people who buy the pattern or have the pattern and stumble upon this site. please go back into the archives for this and check out the first 5 posts. it will help you immensly. The cast on is taken down step by step and there’s also links for alternative cast on’s. also if you want to convert the pattern to circ’s please do. erin tells me you treat the pattern the SAME just instead of DPN’s you have two circs.

now let’s see who’s been making some mary janes:
lindsay has a pretty pair in purple and white. Looks like she just crocheted the straps on as well. great looking mary janes lindsay

rebecca has picked out her yarn and started the turkish cast on. can’t wait to see those pictures, post them soon.

klutzy91 seems to be at a standstill with the toes. let’s cheer her on and hope she’ll post a picture soon.

lesa has finished some pretty blue noro slippers if you scroll down on her page just a bit.

jillian has purchased some long long circs to use magic loop on her mary janes.

stacey
finished a pair and this was her first attempt at anything sock like.

peggy if you scroll down in her blog you will see peggy made a pair in the same colorway as my noro slippers. she did a better job of matching her’s up than i did.

ok if i left you out i can’t find your slippers let me know or send me a linka nd i will post you up here.

pattern

ok “ella” commented but her email is “an error” as my email keeps bouncing back to me. so here is where you can get the pattern you can get it here

http://www.dorkybestfriend.blogspot.com/

OR

if you look over to your left there’s a a link that says piddleloop.com click on it
and then look in the SAME spot on my main blog...see the options of “store” or “blog” click on store. in the store youw ill find erin’s pattern and when you purchase it from paypal it will be digitally downloaded. the money will then be sent to her!
easy peasy.

anyone else recently buy the pattern and make a pair to show off?

***EDITED AND FIXED LINK! (reminder to self never post while high on cold medications AND codine for coughs) ((so sorry april!))

ok here’s a new member meet Apriil looks like she just started out in the blogging world! welcome april. show us the yarn you get for the mary janes!
i want to ask how even are everyone’s slippers? meaning i made two pair for people over xmas and i SWEAR i was following the pattern just fine but the slippers are slightly uneven. and when i went to crochet the strap it was really thick. i thnk lesa told me the other nite you should single crochet 2 so the chain 1 you do ont he turn isn’t an extra stitch. i don’t know. so what do you all think about the pattern? how even are your slippers? who else finished some on here? drop me a line so i can link you and everyone can see. Do you want to join? if so please drop me a line so i can add you. here’s pictures i put on the main blog of the two pair i finished for mxas.

the greenish ball of noro never had a repeat of the colors so the two slippers were destined to be dramatically different. both of those were knit in the smallest size, nat’s sister and mom have tiny feet. they both love things from or involving japanese, hence the noro. but each slipper was slightly longer or slightly shorter than the other all 4 weren’t the same. i should work on that. i know it’s not noticable and it will fix itself with wear, but still. drop a line, sorry i hadn’t updated for a bit there. tell me how your holiday was and how you like the mary janes!
