If I had realized that Jen would have her camera with her, I would have AAT LEAST combed my hair.

Yeah, I’m a slacker - haven’t even started yet.  I’m thinking that maybe I can use the sock yarn I have and just double it.  Is there a concensus from the group?  Am I brilliant for finding ways to use stash yarn or completely nuts for screwing with what is undeniably one of the most awesome patterns ever?

Yay! looks like you all had a fun time :) What color is that Noro?

I THINK it’s color 146, although I’m not positive

Yeah for knitting groups! i’m going to be the envy of my group tomorrow when I bring the project with me. :-)

I have a question about the heel, though. is there an error in the heel directions that lists “17th (13th, 17th)” for sm (med, large)?

No that is not an error.  I know it doesn’t sound right, that the med would have less rows than the small, but the mediun has extra rows in the make up of the toe of the slipper that compensate for the less rows through the foot.

I finished my first Mary Jane! But to get gauge I used size 5 needles, knitting worsted, and made size small (even though they ended up size M). I guess I knit BIG. I did have trouble again understanding the beginning cast on and went to a tutorial, and also the back heel. I ended up doing the decreases in the same locations as for the toe and it looks ok. Was that what I was supposed to do?

I posted a sprt pf heel walk-through on my blog today for those of you who might find it useful.
